Readable from behind, clear in photos, and the first personalizing element anyone notices when the shoe is picked up. Best for a date that's the primary focus of the design — a wedding date on bridal shoes, an anniversary date on couples shoes.

Midsole Edge — Subtle & ContinuousThe date runs along the midsole edge — the flat painted strip at the bottom of the shoe. Subtle enough to be a secondary element, but present in every photo where the shoe is seen from the side. Best when the date is one of several personalizing elements alongside a name and design.

Side Panel — Alongside the NameThe date appears next to or below the name on the side panel, in smaller text. Best for wedding shoes and anniversary shoes where both the name and date share equal visual weight, or where the date format is written out ("June 14, 2026") rather than numerical.
