Stage 1: The Free Digital Mock-Up (48–72 Hours)
After you submit a design request, artists build a digital preview of your exact shoes — showing color placement, text, artwork, and all personalization details. This is delivered within 48–72 hours.
You can request revisions at this stage — different colors, adjusted text placement, additional details — at no cost. The production clock doesn't start until you approve the mock-up. Once you approve and confirm payment, production begins immediately.
Stage 2: Production (2–4 Weeks)
This is the longest stage, and for good reason. Custom sneaker production involves:
- Sourcing the genuine Nike shoe in your exact size and confirmed colorway
- Leather preparation — removing factory finish from painting areas
- Building the design in layers, with drying time between color applications
- Detail and highlight work — the fine-line elements that define the finished design
- Multiple coats of professional leather finisher and full curing time
- Quality inspection and photography before packaging
Simple designs — name, date, and one or two colors — sit at the lower end (2–3 weeks). Complex full-coverage artwork, character paintings, or embellishment work sit higher (3–4 weeks). The production time accounts for doing the work right, not fast.

What Slows Down Custom Sneaker Production
Understanding what causes production to run longer helps you plan and order at the right time. Four factors consistently push timelines toward the higher end:
- Complex artwork. Character paintings, portraits, and full-coverage multi-color designs require more layers, more drying time between applications, and more detail work. A simple name-and-color design takes less than half the production time of a full anime character panel.
- Pearl and rhinestone embellishments. Individual hand-placed embellishments require separate curing time for each adhesive application. Pearl bridal pairs take longer than any painted-only design at the same complexity level.
- Bulk orders. Multiple pairs are produced sequentially — 10 pairs takes roughly 10× as long as one pair, not the same time. Plan accordingly for team and chapter orders.
- Revision cycles after mock-up. Every revision request restarts the mock-up clock. The production countdown doesn't begin until the design is approved. Multiple rounds of changes delay the start of painting.

Under 2 weeks: Rush production for quality hand-painted custom shoes at under 2 weeks is generally not feasible without significant lead time compromise. If you're in this window, the best approach is to contact us directly — we'll be honest about what's possible.
